Champion Homes coordination hall with module jigs and a glass review room

About the Champion Homes sourcing desk

Champion Homes coordinates independent sourcing and procurement in China. This site has no official brand affiliation or authorized reseller status. We help buyers compare supplier evidence and decide what needs project-specific verification before ordering prefabricated residential houses.

Mission on the traveler

Our mission is to keep buyer requirements traceable from the first quotation request to the shipment checklist. If a roof load or interior option changes, the comparison records which bids have incorporated the revision. The supplier remains responsible for the building and its documents.

The scope matrix covers shell, envelope, fixtures, inspection and packing. It identifies exclusions and ties each price back to a quotation revision. Buyers can use the matrix to identify the difference between a lower unit rate and a genuinely comparable total scope.

Make the handover easy to audit

A useful handover links the drawing issue, product samples and opening-unit report to the packed lot. The buyer can check whether a measured opening and the finished unit in the packing photos belong to the same batch.

If the project needs a resident superintendent or a locally signed permit set, record that requirement before requesting offers. Those responsibilities require separate engagement with qualified project parties.

Four habits on the floor

Culture here is a set of habits a new coordinator can observe in the opening month. The habits are written so they can be audited against a traveler, not against a poster.

01

Revision before steel

Cut lists cite a model revision. A verbal change in a chat thread is not a release.

02

Opening unit stays

The measured opening module remains in the yard until the series check sheet matches it.

03

Core named in full

EPS, PIR or rock wool is written with thickness and density. “Insulated panel” alone is sent back.

04

Limit written in public

If the road width blocks a volumetric width, the limit is drawn on the plan the buyer sees.

Roles in a residential sourcing brief

These illustrations show coordination functions and supplier-side review points. Each project assigns the responsibilities against its own scope, location and contract.

DfMA coordinator at a dual-screen model of a house module split

DfMA coordinator

Splits plans into modules, tags wet walls, and refuses a release when the foundation interface is blank.

Welding inspector checking a light-gauge joint with a gauge

Welding and coating inspector

Checks procedure against the project specification. AWS D1.1 alignment is used when the specification names it. The inspector does not invent an AISC certificate the plant does not hold.

Packing lead beside a 40-foot container loading diagram

Packing lead

Owns the container loading plan and the difference between a flat-pack count and a volumetric rack count.

Installation planner marking crane radius on a site sketch

Installation planner

Writes pick order and temporary bracing. Soil bearing stays with the project engineer of record.

Options clerk with a finish sample board for residential modules

Option-matrix clerk

Locks shell, partition, lighting, sanitary and furniture choices on a dated freeze. Late swaps become a new revision.

Night shift at a module jig with task lighting

Line shift

A selected supplier supplies the jig and the opening-unit records. The buyer and inspector agree on tolerances, measurement methods and the disposition of exceptions before series release.

Write to the coordination desk

Send the latest available plan, tell us which design inputs your engineer has issued and mark decisions that remain open. The first reply identifies what can be included in a shared request and which inputs still need confirmation.

If a freight window is fixed, give the required port date and destination port. That lets the sourcing brief separate supplier readiness from sailing and destination handling.
